A major renovation of the beachfront restaurant Gumbo Limbo included a kitchen expansion and widening of both the main dining deck and south boardwalk. Additionally, a new boardwalk and bathrooms were built on the north side of the restaurant and a new roof added to accommodate the expanded kitchen. As a result of these operational and logistical improvements, the entire structure was raised to meet current FEMA requirements.
